We had the worst flight in a lifetime of travel. We experienced four hours of turbulence after we left LA. Everything was rattling in the plane. Meals and drinks sloshed all over the trays. A most unpleasant and scary experience.
When it finally smoothed out, it was a much more comfortable flight. Dawn at 38,000 feet is an awesome sight.
Finally we heard the magic words “we are on final descent….”
And we were there!
We spent the day just driving around the island.
We decided to have dinner at the Roulettes. They are gourmet food trucks that open every night at the cruise ship dock.
it was a perfect first day in Tahiti. We finished dinner, watched the sunset and headed to the hotel.
