We had the worst flight in a lifetime of travel. We experienced four hours of turbulence after we left LA. Everything was rattling in the plane. Meals and drinks sloshed all over the trays. A most unpleasant and scary experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it finally smoothed out, it was a much more comfortable flight. Dawn at 38,000 feet is an awesome sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally we heard the magic words \u201cwe are on final descent\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we were there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent the day just driving around the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We decided to have dinner at the Roulettes. They are gourmet food trucks that open every night at the cruise ship dock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

it was a perfect first day in Tahiti. We finished dinner, watched the sunset and headed to the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
